I’m the type of guy that straightens pictures in a hotel room but doesn’t notice minor changes in his everyday environment. OK, so I stole the first part from Stephen King but at least it fits.

I’m 24, I’m from a small town in South Carolina, I’ve been married for a little over two years and I don’t have any children…yet. I’m very active in my church, I’m learning to be an outdoorsman, and I drive a ‘91 Corolla. (Yes, the DX package. No, it’s not for sale.)

During the day I’m a computer programmer and I do computer technical work/ technical support on the side. I could build you a computer from scratch but I have trouble cutting a straight line in paper with razor sharp scissors. I like reading, writing, spending time with my wife, drinking coffee, watching movies, e-mailing and taking pictures. I am very clumsy.

I like to watch sports and listen to music but I’m also into nerdy things like space flight and superheros. When I get interested in something I tend to obsess over it until I have absorbed as much information on the subject as possible.

I started writing at a young age, but took a break from it for a while. I got started writing again in college when I stumbled upon a role playing game for a TV show that I love. I’ve been writing seriously (usually at least 500 words a day) for about two years now. I find the whole process exciting and invigorating.

I read a lot of contemporary fiction, mostly by Stephen King, Dean Koontz or James Patterson. I’ve read many others, but these are the most frequent. I’ve only just discovered my liking of literature, and so far have thoroughly enjoyed the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Raymond Carver, John Cheever and Nathaniel Hawthorne.

I’ve recently begun taking classes at the Gotham Writers’ Workshop and would highly recommend it to any serious writer.
